LifeSigns is a simple and free service that can be used without the installation of any app or program. Simply create an account and provide your email address together with those of some friends, family or colleagues as buddies
From now on you will receive a daily email with a LifeSign button. As long as you press the button every day, none of you buddies will be contacted. In case you are not able to press the button, the LifeSigns automatically sends requests to your buddies to check in on you.

TheLifeSigns service is based on daily emails, you can therefore not expect instant response. However, if set up properly, you can expect a response either the same day, or the next day at the latest. For many situation this is sufficient to prevent serious escalations.
